ABOUT US

Oral Health Impact Project (OHIP) is a pioneering program that offers on-location dental services to students within participating schools.

A lack of finances, education, transportation and access to quality, comprehensive dental care for our children results in 51 million hours of school lost per year in the United States. OHIP eliminates these “roadblocks” by providing in-school dental services and without waiting for an appointment. Our board-certified “kid-friendly” dentists create a welcoming environment for children by setting up portable dental centers within your school walls. Not only do children experience less anxiety receiving care in this familiar environment, but they also miss less class time when their dental care is being coordinated through their school.

OHIP is an innovative school-based program that provides comprehensive treatment on location.

Unlike similar programs, which only offer preventative care, OHIP provides comprehensive services including x-rays, cleanings, fillings, sealants and more complex procedures.  We also provide consistent follow-up with these students and families to ensure every child receives long-term care.

The healthy habits our students learn through the program are brought home to their families and over time, will impact communities. This is how OHIP helps “break the cycle of dental disease”.
