
Oral Health Impact Project and its affiliated organizations have
provided dental care to under-served populations for more than
18 years, including schools, juvenile systems, foster care, the
military, and correctional facilities throughout the United States.
Lawrence B. Caplin, DMD, CCHP
Founder & CEO, Dr. Lawrence Caplin, DMD, is a graduate of
the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, and
was presented with the University’s Alumni Award of Merit
in May 2005. He is also certified in forensic dentistry, and in
the aftermath of 9/11, volunteered his time as a member of the
Body Identification Team.
Dr. Caplin has published articles in four national dental publications,
and has delivered more than 50 lectures on “Taking Control
of Your Practice Project,” a talk which focuses on designing
and building dental offices for efficiency and cost control. In
fact, he has designed and built dental offices, professional office
buildings, and other private practices in the northeastern United
States since 2002.
He is also the Founder of Caplin Family Charities, a non-profit
organization that is dedicated to providing funding to a variety
of oral health causes, including scholarships, internships and
externships, and assistance in establishing Dental
Homes.
Dr. Caplin is a devoted father of four young children (including
a set of twins), and is an avid skier. When he is not dedicating
his time to dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family
and friends in the quiet surroundings of Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
